Hello and welcome to my website! I am a behavioural environmental economist with research interests in pro-social and pro-environmental behaviour of individuals. In my research, I am attentive to the social relevance of my research topic, the rigour of the research method, and the policy implications from my research results.
My PhD thesis "Investor Behaviour in Sustainability - Three Essays on Sustainable Finance" is written at the Department of Economics & the FS-UNEP Centre at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the Department of Sustainable Use of Natural Resources at the University of Marburg. Before turning to academic research, I gained five years of experience in various (inter)national research and consultancy projects as a key analyst and project manager, experiencing and solving the challenges of sustainable climate finance in the real economy and in the policy sphere.
I will complete my PhD in economics at the University of Marburg in 2024 (dissertation defence in September 2024). In addition to the PhD, I have a graduate diploma in mathematics from the London School of Economics and an M.Sc. Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. I am a member of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and the Science Platform for Sustainable Finance (WPSF).
Think creatively, research rigorously, teach and communicate with passion
I am looking for interdisciplinary research opportunities using experimental economic methods to study not only financial investment decisions, but also the efficient use of natural resources related to energy, transport, biodiversity, etc. I am open to collaborations in sustainability research.
